Background
Linnaeus Eco-Tech has been an academic tradition since 1997. Arranged every second year, this is the second time the conference is arranged as a part of the recently formed Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden. This is the first invitation for the 2012 conference and registration will soon open for participants.
Aims
Linnaeus Eco-Tech is based on the cooperation between university, industry and policy makers, with the goal of improving relations between these sectors. The objective of such a cooperation is to develop environmental technologies and sustainability in the Baltic Sea Region and the world. This will in the long run lead to a better quality of life for man.
The conference aims to promote knowledge and research within the areas of environmental science and environmental engineering. These aims are accomplished by plenary sessions, keynote speakers, workshops and scientific papers. But also through the social environment created by the conference, where participants from different countries and different areas can learn from each other.
