Meeting
Orientation:
The outcome will be a final document in order to cover the discussions and debate, including a
recommendation of S&T indicators for the measurement of the impact of national/multilateral funding
programmes targeting on international cooperation.
Objectives of the workshop:
The main objectives of this Workshop are to compare and to analyze the aims of the different INCO‐NETs
and which are the most appropriate indicators to assess the results of these INCO‐NETs international
science cooperation. In this framework, the discussions must be oriented to identify the most specific
indicators able to describe and analyse scientific cooperation among EU and other countries of different
regions.
An important topic to be studied is the strong differences on S&T of the countries belonging to the same
region. For example, in EULARINET we cover large countries like Brazil or Mexico together with very small
countries as can be those of Central America. Therefore, there is a need of structural indicators to describe
the situation and the needs of each of these countries to successfully participate and benefit from S&T
international co‐operations.
