International Learning Network (ILN)
The International Learning Network is a network created by the INCO Directorate of the General Directorate
for Research & Innovation, grouping the project leaders of Inconet,
BILAT and ERA.WIDE projects to share experiences, views and foster
mutual learning.
Objectives
• Forum for coordinators where experience of various methodological aspects of the coordination process can be shared (mutual learning) and “standarisation” can be supported.
• Opportunity for the Commission to learn about the experiences of the different types of projects and to reflect on and further develop its activities and instruments for strengthening the international dimension of the FP;
• Support existing information exchange on horizontal issues such as regional aspects or on outstanding initiatives of other DGs etc …
Methodology
Project consortia and the European Commission take on joint ownership of the ILN. The responsibility for its development lies with the projects and their representatives. The European Commission will facilitate this process by providing the appropriate framework.
The following ILN working group meetings have been envisaged:
1. The launching event: Priority setting (23-24 April 2009), the 1st meeting.
2. Coordination of national and regional programme: Joint Calls and SICA templates (24 September), the 2nd meeting.
3. International cooperation indicators and impact assessment (preparatory meeting on impact assessment in October, ILN meeting in December 2009), the 3rd meeting.
4. 4th International Learning Network meeting.
5. 5th International Learning Network meeting.
6. 6th International Learning Network meeting.
