The Seventh Framework Programe for Research and Technological Development (from now on FP7) is the European Union's main instrument for funding research in Europe and it will run from 2007-2013.

However, FP7 is also open for the participation of non-European Union Member States, the so-called International Cooperation Participation Countries (ICPC): (for complete list, please, click here).

Anyway, more detailed information regarding the ICPC types of participation, mainly focused on the Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPC) can be found into the 2 portlets displayed below. The left side allocated portlet displays All the Calls for Cooperation updated list and the right side one shows its corresponding Calendar.

These "Calls for Cooperation" are initially classified in:

• Specific International Cooperation Actions (from now on SICAs): Partipation of ICPC is mandatory.
• Other calls with an important INCO dimension (from now on HR-INCO): Participation of ICPC is highly recommended.
• European Union Member States (EU-MS) National Calls for Cooperation: Promoted by individual EU-MS.
• Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPC) National Calls for Cooperation: Promoted by individual MPC.
• OTHER Calls.
