Michael Papapetrou is a physicist (University of Athens) with post-graduate studies in technical (MSc National Technical University of Athens) and policy aspects (MSc Imperial College London) of the energy field. He has worked for 3 years as a project manager for WIP in Munich (www.wip-munich.de) managing research projects funded mainly under the FP6, IEE and EuropeAid programmes. The last years he is working with WIP as associate researcher. His research interests include the study of policies and strategies for introducing new technologies in the market especially in the alternative energy and water fields in the Mediterranean region. He has several publications in the field.
