International co-operation is an important element of FP7, and this is especially true for Mediterranean partner countries. Through a dedicated brokerage session ICT experts from the EU and the Mediterranean Partner Countries will discuss opportunities for collaborations and new projects. This activity will be realised in co-operation with the project "Join-Med". At the stand of the Join-Med project you will get a detailed view on the ICT research landscape in the Mediterranean region. Visitors will be able to meet researchers from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. The stand will display results from the FP6 project, MED-IST (Mediterranean Information Society) and the FP7 project, Join-MED. The first project established strategic research priorities for the MPC, while the second is fostering collaboration with Europe through a series of networking events and developing strategies for harmonising ICT research policies in all Mediterranean countries. Selected ICT organisations will be available to discuss their research work and set up new partnerships for the upcoming ICT calls.
