ERC grants. Calls for proposals The European Commission has published two calls for proposals for the Ideas programme under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). The calls relate to: 1. ERC (European Research Council) Starting Independent Researcher Grants: To support researchers who are starting or consolidating their own independent research team or, depending on the field, their own independent research programme. 2. ERC Coordination and Support Actions (CSA): To support independent exploratory work to analyse the impact of the ERC and to assist in the development of a strategy for the monitoring and assessment of ERC activities. CNR - Italian National Research Council established a “Task force of experts for ERC Starting Independent Research Grants” to favour the submitting of projects to European Commission for those young researchers from EU and non EU Countries wishing to carry on their “frontier” research at CNR and, of course, for CNR researchers willing to conduct their independent research abroad.
